A publication of writing by Dr. Rebecca Bell, exploring ideological entanglement within folk craft between the state, and regional Czech makers of Glass figurines within 1940-1960s communist Czechslovakia. 

The reflective and ephemeral materiality of glass inspired the use of a traditional lithographic printing press for the cover and centre spread. Whilst a freeform dynamic treatment was applied to typography inspired by the 60s Czech New Wave cinema movement which saw a surge of artistic subversion despite state funding.
