‘It Always Has Been is a notice board exhibition curated from photographs and stories kindly shared by members of the community.
Take a wander through some of the places and people that make up Shirehampton’s past and present, from key landmarks such as the Lamplighter and Gunpowder house, to tales of the Prefabs and locations since gone. Find recounts of childhood memories and the Shirehampton Carnivals, as well as things the current community are proud of.
This exhibition acts as a starting point for conversation, encouraging residents of Shirehampton to share and exchange stories of living in the Shire.
